Triangular...

Have you ever heard of the "be-do-have" triangle?...It's a concept I first learned about from Ray Hollaway, a lovely man I met many years ago...someone who became my roommate for a short while...he later died of AIDS, but not before he introduced me to opera...

Anyway, Ray talked about the "be-do-have" triangle as something that applies to everyone's creative potential..."being" meaning the qualities we embody; the way we move through the world..."doing" meaning the activities we participate in; the actions we take...and "having" meaning the things, monetary and otherwise, that we acquire throughout our lives...

Ray always said that each of us comes into this life able to do two of the three things really well...and the third thing is our challenge...the one we are here to bring into balance...the one we must master to unleash our full creative potential...the one that when mastered, aligns us with the universe...so that everything we want gets created effortlessly...

Neal Donald Walsch calls it a paradigm...and teaches that everything begins with "beingness"...that if you want to have something, you begin by being in a way that is congruent with the thing you want to have...and then doing what it takes to have it...

So here I am in the first week of Christine Kane's UpLevel You course and what do I find?...a really fun "be-do-have" homework exercise...she calls it a dreamscape...and, yes, I am writing down every way I want to be, everything I want to do and all the things I want to have...

I'm ready, universe...bring it on...

And by the way, it turns out that there are some pretty complex examples of the be-do-have triangle out there...
